Sustainability on film sets

At Sant Cugat City of Film, we are committed to sustainability in audiovisual productions and aim to help make this objective a reality in the shoots carried out in the municipality. For this reason, we provide information and resources so that production companies can apply responsible criteria and actions to minimise the environmental, social and economic impact of productions in Sant Cugat.

We encourage all productions to define strategies and implement measures that contribute to this transition, responding to the evolving policies of the sector and helping to tackle the climate crisis we face today. All of this with the aim of preserving our environment, promoting citizens’ well-being and ensuring a respectful and high-quality audiovisual activity in the municipality.

Here you will find a checklist (in Catalan, Spanish and English), inspired by the Barcelona Film Commission and Catalunya Film Commission guides, which allows you to choose the sustainability measures you can apply, monitor them, and check, once the project is completed, which ones have been implemented.
It is a practical tool to gather ideas, set commitments and assess your positive impact throughout the production.
